I read this somewhere, but don't remember where. A club, group or association represents a community of like interests. The purpose of a group in this hobby would be to have a place to run and encourage new people to buy or build their own engine and rolling stock. As such, there will be some members who have facilities and/or financial means to build and/or buy, and some who like the hobby but do not have the ability or financial means to build a track. But might have the means to have a locomotive or train if they had a place to operate and store it.

The new group will be a corporation, a 501 (C) 7 not-for profit which is the designation for a social club with specfic interests.

The purpose of this group is to build and play railroad while doing so. It will not be to make money or take people for rides. Anyone may join, from a newby in the hobby or someone already owning a locomotive. But membership will be limited to those truely interested and in number, yet to be determined. Year- round train storage is available. This track will never be open to the public, but all large scale model railroaders will be welcome to come and operate here. You do not have to be machinist and build a locomotive anymore. There are plenty of companies building 1/8th scale equipment ready to run!
